Katrina Dimaranan recollects her 10-year pageant journey

Following her announcement that she could not attend the coronation night of Miss Universe Philippines 2022, Katrina Dimaranan recalled her 10-year pageant journey.

In her Instagram post, the Miss Universe Philippines – Tourism 2021 titleholder said that she will not be home in the Philippines to pass her crown.

As Katrina explained, “Along with issues with my US residency, I have been occupied and focused with my nursing career and believe me, I really tried to make it work.”

Attached to her post is a video clip, showing the highlights of her pageantry moments. Katrina started joining pageantry at the age of 18, where she claimed the title of Binibining Pilipinas Tourism 2012. Moreover, she represented the United States at the Miss Supranational 2018 pageant. She finished as 1st Runner-Up.

The 28-year-old beauty queen also mentioned that her “10-year magical journey” has become a vital part of her life. She underlined that her journey made her meet some of the most amazing people. In addition, she emphasized that she learned life lessons, by opening up to other things outside her personal life.

She also cherished the moments she had been through. “All those sleepless nights, crying behind the scenes, the sisterhood, the celebrations, and the victories and the losses— I am beyond grateful. I will miss those moments,” she said. 

Grateful for the memories 

Meanwhile, she officially confirmed that her journey has now come to an end. She also pointed out that she is eternally grateful for all of the memories. “I am happy and at peace that I can finally close this chapter, and move forward to my next goals! I am extremely touched by the love, laughs and support many of you have given me and continue to give to me!” she stated.

In the end, she mentioned a word of encouragement for her fans. “Pursue the best version yourselves, and for one more time, I want to say “Laban mga bes”,” 

“I hope you go reach for your dreams, and I would love to know if I ever become part of it,” she added.

MUPH 2022 will be held on April 30, 2022, at the Mall of Asia Arena.
