As one of the tech brands that are releasing 5G smartphones this year, Huawei unveiled its latest addition to the P family: the P40 series. Through an online launch, the company highlighted the features of the P40, P40 Pro, and P40 Pro + especially their camera prowess.
The Huawei P40 family boasts of its impressive overall specs and cameras
These flagship phones succeeded the P30 and P30 Pro that were launched last year. As this variant is highly-known for the Leica lens, the P series still sports the same technology but with major improvements in terms of AI.
Huawei P40 sports IP53 rated 3D glass body with a 6.1-inch OLED screen with an FHD+ resolution. Meanwhile, both P40 Pro and P40 Pro + have a water-resistant IP68 rated body with a 6.8 inches OLED display.
All these premium devices are powered Kirin 990 5G processor built using the 7nm+ EUV process. This is said to be more efficient in terms of battery and performance. The chipset is coupled with an 8GB RAM and expandable storage.
What about the cameras? P-series definitely brings the game with the Ultra Vision Leica cameras w/ Full Pixel Octa PD Autofocus. This is claimed to enhance focus speed even in dark surroundings.
The main camera of these devices is a 50 MP RYYB sensor that is said to bring more light and details into the picture as compared to Samsung and Apple.
Want brighter colors for your images on social media? With advanced color temperature, color precision increased by 45 percent. However, the P40 has three cameras, the Pro has four while the Pro + variant has five.
Huawei equipped these P40 phones handy and cool features such as Best Moments, Remove Reflection, and Remove Passerby.
Selfie-lovers will surely like the front cam of this P40 series as it was made much better. With a 32 MP sensor w/ IR Depth/Gesture Camera, you can get clearer and more natural-looking images. The IR depth lens can bring the artsy bokeh effect, in a pro-level that is.
Huawei P40, P40 Pro, and Pro Plus are available in colors: Deep Sea Blue, Ice White, Black, Blush Gold, Silver Frost. The first one is sold for PHP 36,990 while the Pro version can be purchased for PHP 50,990. No news yet regarding the price tag of Pro + but we’ll keep you posted with updates.
