French series Lupin will return this Summer 2021

Our favorite French bae is back! Lupin, a worldwide phenomenon, led by Omar Sy, which has been Number 1 in Netflix’s Top 10 across more than ten countries, will return in Summer 2021. The 5 new episodes are directed by Ludovic Bernard (The Climb) and Hugo Gélin (Love at second sight).

According to Deadline, “the series has become a big, and somewhat surprising hit for the streamer, with 70M households projected to watch since its launch on January 8, making its easily its biggest French original. The show became the first French series to make it into Netflix’s top ten list in the U.S. It has ranked number one in a number of territories.

“The second half of season one, which ends on a pretty major cliffhanger, is directed by Ludovic Bernard (The Climb) and Hugo Gélin (Love at Second Sight). It also features five episodes.”

Cast members Hervé Pierre, Nicole Garcia, Clotilde Hesme, Ludivine Sagnier, and more are set to return.

Twenty-five years after his father is framed for the theft of an expensive diamond necklace, Assane Diop plots his revenge, inspired by a book about gentleman thief Arsène Lupin. Sorry if it took you this long to realize it’s not about werewolves, but, hey, maybe in part two.
