The recently revamped Solong Eco Park to Solong Integrated Farm will give you a strolling experience in a park but high up on the mountain. It introduces a learning site for farmers in order to support the development of a tourism agriculture circuit in the town.
While you’re in the Solong Eco Park, you can also visit the Hoyop-Hoyopan cave because it’s just nearby. A natural wonder that is perfect for adventure seekers. The cave is home to a variety of bats and offers a thrilling spelunking experience.
Camalig’s Ancestral Houses
Camalig has several ancestral houses, The Gonzales, Melba Moyo, Nolasco, Nuyda, and Anson ancestral houses. The Gonzales ancestral house is designed in the floral style Bahay na bato. The Melba Moyo house is said to have been used as a shelter for high-ranking Japanese officials during the Japanese period. The Nolasco house is once a temporary municipal hall of the town. Nuyda’s house is built in the Geometric Style of bahay na bato. Lastly, Anson’s house is once used as a quarter for guardia civil during the Spanish period. These ancestral houses show the culture and history of the town.
