GMA Artist Center talent Brent Valdez is one of the showbiz newbies we are currently eyeing for. He is formerly a member of the defunct boy group ‘One Up’ and is now showcasing his gifts in singing via guestings in various programs in the Network.
The Kapuso performer recently joined the list of local celebrities who are continuously giving out to those affected by the global pandemic COVID-19. In fact, he was able to raise funds amounting to PHP 102,000 to help street dwellers and the homeless in Manila with the help of his friends.
Brent helps homeless people
According to the post of the management, “#BrentValdez, along with his friends, Rica, Kathren and Mira, donated relief goods to the homeless people in Manila and the street dwellers at the Delpan Sports Complex. Before purchasing the relief goods, Brent and his friends were able to gather more than 102,000 pesos!”
Brent, of course, thanked everyone who supported the cause despite the limitations brought by the Enhanced Community Quarantine. He reiterated that if even people who are comfortable in their houses are experiencing difficulties, what more for those can’t afford basic needs and lacks shelter?
“After ilang araw nang pagre-repack, pamimili, pagri-risk sa paglabas. Nagbunga din ang lahat ng paghihirap. Lahat po ng donations na nalikom namin ay napunta sa street dwellers at mga homeless. Kung makikita n’yo lang yung ngiti nila ‘nung dumating ‘yung donations, sobrang nakaka uplift po. Sa lahat po ng tumulong, maraming maraming salamat po sa inyong lahat.”
During these times, Brent also spread good vibes through his TikTok videos and song covers. This brings delight among his fans and supporters. He reminded every one to spread love, practice social distancing, sanitize and to stay indoors.
