Arjo Atayde reveals talking marriage with Maine Mendoza
Arjo Atayde recently disclosed that he and his girlfriend, actress-host Maine Mendoza, has been talking about marriage.
The award-winning actor made the revelation in an interview with ABS-CBN broadcast journalist Julius Babao.
The interview took place on the latter’s YouTube vlog, uploaded last Wednesday, October 13.
Arjo said,
“Obviously, I’m not wasting time. […] Sobrang mahal ko po ‘yong tao, eh. […] I’m just growing with the person every day and if that’s the question, my answer to that is yes, of course, napag-uusapan nga namin, at the right age. We’re not getting any younger.”
Moreover, he explained how both he and Maine maintain happiness together in the relationship.
Then, Arjo hopes the feeling of bliss would go on until they get older.
When Julius asked if Maine was the one, Arjo said he believed so.
Furthermore, he described Maine as a “very loving person” with a good heart, saying he found a best friend and partner in her.
“I’m overwhelmed with the way I love her and how she loves me back. It’s a different understanding. I think I found a best friend, partner. There’s no hindrance being myself.”
Last January 2019, Arjo revealed how he and Maine were “exclusively dating” at the time.
By March 2019, Maine confirmed their status in an entry in her blog.
The couple celebrated their second anniversary last December 2020 after Maine posted a photo of her and Arjo by the beach.
