Alwyn Uytingco is thankful for the second chance given by Jennica Garcia
Alwyn Uytingco has seemingly exerted effort to reconcile with his wife Jennica Garcia. It appears that he has earned her forgiveness, thanking the actress for giving him a “second chance.”
The History of Alwyn and Jennica
After four years of being a couple, the two got married in 2014. Together, they have two children named Athena and Severina.
The actress confirmed she and Alwyn split last May. However, the reason behind the separation was not disclosed.
Since then, Alwyn has expressed his desire to reunite with his family. On the other hand, his mother-in-law, veteran actress Jean Garcia, criticized him last June. According to her, the actor gave her daughter heartaches and disrespect.
Last July, there were speculations that the two have reconciled. The two were spotted with their children in Tanay, Rizal. By then, Jennica confirmed that she did, indeed, spend time with Alwyn, but clarified that they were only trying to do a healthy co-parenting relationship.
A chance for reconciliation
On October 17, the actor promised he will fight to “retake” his family as he thanked his wife on his Facebook page. The post was accompanied by a photo of what appears to be himself and Jennica by a mountainside.
Alwyn vulnerably expressed that he doesn’t really deserve another chance from his wife. However, he promised that he is willing to exert more effort.
“I don’t deserve a second chance. Please don’t get me wrong, I will do everything for another chance in this life and I will fight the good fight to retake my family.”
The actor then continued to list all the things he’s thankful for the actress.
“Thank you, mahal (love), for not quitting on me. Thank you for letting me continue this life we started together. Thank you for giving me a wonderful gift of ‘second chance’ and one that I don’t deserve at all.”
The hopeful message also talked about how he is looking forward to the future, which he slightly assured to be better.
“Just because the past is painful doesn’t mean the future will be. I will always be your Habibi. Till death do us part.”
“Habibi” is an Arabic word that is translated to “my love.”
