Epson Philippines Corporation (EPC) recently took part in guided tree nurturing activities along the Legacy Trail at Masungi Georeserve, reaffirming its continued commitment to sustained environmental action.
Masungi Georeserve is set within the country’s largest mountain range, the Sierra Madre. This plays a vital role in protecting Luzon from severe weather, sustaining biodiversity, and supporting surrounding communities. Safeguarding this landscape requires steady and long-term effort, making forest restoration a responsibility that extends well beyond a single visit.
In line with this, the activity centered on tree nurturing. Tree nurturing emphasizes ongoing care, monitoring, and protection to improve survival rates and support forest regeneration over time. Guided by Masungi Georeserve’s rangers, participants learned practical reforestation methods and saw firsthand how consistent stewardship strengthens ecological resilience.
The Legacy Trail
This approach, reflected in the very name of the trail. The “Legacy Trail” represents hope that every visitor carries forward the knowledge and responsibility gained from the experience. To commemorate the day, participants received special caps from New Era Cap Philippines crafted with REPREVE® recycled fiber, a material made by transforming post-consumer plastic into durable textile. By repurposing existing resources and reducing reliance on virgin materials, the caps reflected the same principle of responsible production introduced along the trail.
The caps serve as a practical reminder of the responsibility carried forward.
