KPOP Concert: Things you must do to maximize your experience!

KPOP concerts from our favorite artists are not something that we can experience monthly- or even yearly! This is rare and a once in a lifetime opportunity that we should prepare for. After years of postponement and waiting due to the pandemic, our favorite artists are now coming back to our country to meet and share their live music for Filipino fans.

Here are some tips and tricks that might help you to fully enjoy and maximize your experience!

Gear up and prepare beforehand!

In order for you to not forget something during the concert, make sure you have prepared everything in your bag preferably a day or two before the concert date.

What’s in my bag?

Here are some items that you might also want to add in your concert bag!

  • Concert Ticket
  • Powerbank and cord
  • Medicines
  • Extra batteries for your lightstick
  • Slim wallet or mini purse for extra cash
  • Candies
  • Band aids

As much as possible, do not overpack and bring necessary items only, especially if you are planning to get a standing ticket. Some venues do not allow huge bags inside the concert proper.

Arrive at least an hour early, don’t be late!

The crowd and traffic can be overwhelming, so as much as possible arrive at the venue at least an hour before the gate opens. Plus, you might also spot some fans who are giving away freebies and souvenirs!

Wear comfortable shoes!

Believe it or not, this is the most essential item for me! You might walk a lot around the venue both before and after the concert, and having a good pair of shoes will definitely help you all throughout the day!

Stay hydrated and eat before the KPOP concert!

Most venues do not allow food and beverage inside, and it is also a must to keep yourself hydrated and full before the concert so you’ll have enough energy to sing (and cry) your heart out!

And lastly, enjoy the once in a lifetime moment!

In order for you to fully appreciate the opportunity, I highly recommend you to watch the artists using your eyes, not your screen. Some people prioritize taking videos of their idols (which is completely fine!) but also don’t forget that you’re there to listen to their amazing music, live and love the moment! The videos and photos can only act as your souvenir and something that you can watch to reminisce the moment, but watching them with your own eyes and singing your heart out is definitely one of the most surreal moments you’ll ever have in your whole life!

With the tips I shared above, I hope this will come in handy in your next concert experience!
