Ekstra (2013)

The 2013 Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival entry ‘Ekstra’ directed by
Jeffrey Jeturian and also written by Jeturian himself with Antoinette Jadaone and Zig Madamba Dulay, exposed the grim reality inside the blinding spotlights of the media industry. ‘Ekstra’ is a socio-realist drama-comedy that told the story of Loida Malabanan, portrayed by the Star of All Seasons, Vilma Santos.

Loida is a single parent who strives as an extra or a bit player to support her daughter’s education. ‘Ekstra’ being a drama-comedy provides a lighter atmosphere because of the funny lines and witty remarks that balanced well with some of its emotional scenes.

Liway (2018)

The film is about Dakip, a young boy growing up in a prison as the son of anti-Marcos dissident Cecilia Flores-Oebanda, better known as Commander Liway. It is based on a true story and takes place during the final days of the Marcos dictatorship. Glaiza de Castro played the lead role. She was nominated for Best Actress in both the Gawad Urian and the FAMAS Awards for her performance.

Ang Pangarap Kong Holdap (2018)
