Sanya Lopez wins Top Celebrity Award in the first-ever Tiktok Awards Philippines
Kapuso star Sanya Lopez becomes one of the recipients of the Top Celebrity Award in the first-ever Tiktok Awards Philippines.
In GMA Network’s Chika Minute report of Aubrey Carampel on GMA News 24 Oras this Tuesday, Sanya expressed her extreme happiness and thankfulness. She showed her gratitude for the award she received which she thought was unexpected.
Aside from Sanya, there were also several artists who received the award of Top Celebrity in the first Tiktok Awards Philippines. These personalities include the P-pop group SB19 and young actress Andrea Brillantes.
Sanya dedicated the award she received to her family, friends, and supporters. She also didn’t forget to thank her fellow Tiktok artists. And of course, she expressed deep gratitude to the fans who voted for her.
“Akalain niyo ‘yon, umpisa pa lang for entertainment and for fun lang yung ginagawa natin. Pero hindi ko akalain na makaka-recieve ako ng award from Tiktok.”
(Come to think of it, I just started—just for entertainment and for fun. I didn’t expect to receive an award from Tiktok.)
According to the actress, she became active in the humungous social media app last year when the pandemic started. Surprisingly, her follower count has already reached a whopping 10.7 million.
This milestone isn’t the only thing the actress is thankful for. She also expressed her sincere appreciation to the avid viewers of her primetime series with Gabbie Concepcion, First Yaya.
The actress said,
“Hindi namin inakalang lahat na ganun yung magiging impact niya sa mga tao. Kaya naman sobrang nakakatuwa at sobrang nakakataba ng puso.”
(We didn’t really expect that it [the series] will have that kind of impact to the viewers. That’s why I am really happy and my heart is filled with joy.)
