Pokémon celebrates 25th year with new game Pokémon Legends Arceus and Pokémon Diamond, Pearl remakes
Satoshi Tajiri created Pokémon, also known as Pocket Monster in 1995, The Pokémon Company managed the Japanese media franchise and founded by gaming developer giants Game Freak, Creatures, and Nintendo.
In 1996, The franchise released The Pocket Monster Red, and Green video games for Gameboy in Japan, and was later made way to the western audience in 1998 and other worldwide markets with the title Pokemon Red, and Pokemon Blue.
The games proved to be phenomenal and set the franchise as a multi-million dollar company making a way in venturing into different media branches from Video games to Merchandise, Trading card games, Home entertainment, TV, and Movies among others.
In fact, Pokémon is the world’s highest-grossing media franchise of all time and is celebrating its 25th Anniversary this year.

Pokémon consistently teased fans of what is in store for #Pokemon25 since January. First, the announcement of the New Pokémon Snap for Nintendo Switch, a sequel to PokémonSnap released in 1999 for the Nintendo64 console. Above all, The New Pokémon Snap will arrive worldwide starting April 30.
Second, the announcement of the partnership with Universal Music. It aims to feature rising artists and award-winning superstars and, the pop icon Katy Perry. In short, it will be a global music celebration dubbed P25 Music. Likewise, fans can expect astonishing and great new music and virtual concert.
Pokemon presents Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl!
In a worldwide virtual broadcast of Pokemon Presents on February 26, The president and CEO of The Pokémon Company; Tsunekazu Ishihara—officially announced the franchise’s two new video games as part of the #Pokemon25 celebration.
After months of fan speculations, The Pokemon Company officially reveals the Pokémon Brilliant Diamond, Pokémon Shining Pearl, a direct remake of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl for Nintendo Switch;
Just like the old game, trainers can begin their Sinnoh region adventure by choosing a Pokemon partner. Will you choose Turtwig, Chimchar, or Piplup? It’s up to you, trainers!
An exciting time for the older and younger generation of fans can now revisit and begin a nostalgic adventure in the Sinnoh region. And, since the remake is for the Nintendo Switch system, will it have add-on game features like in Pokemon Lets Go Pikachu and Eevee? Let’s find out soon.
Therefore, trainers, there’s still have plenty of time to decide whether to choose the Brilliant Dialga or Shinning Palkia version because the game is set to arrive by late 2021.
The new adventure begins with Pokemon Legends: Arceus.
During the Pokemon Present live stream, an announcement of a brand new Pokemon adventure; Pokémon Legends: Arceus was made by the Pokemon Company.
Very few details are shown for the new Pokemon core-game series. In other words, we are left with so many questions in mind. However, what we are certain of is that the game will take place in the older days of the Sinnoh Region and the story arc will revolve around the legendary Pokemon-God, Arceus.
Game Freak is obviously breaking the history of introducing new starter Pokemon in a core-game series, Instead, the teaser revealed having Rowlet from the Alola region, Cindaquil from the Johto region, and Oshawott from the Unova region as the player’s choice of partner Pokemon.
