The iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max are officially launched with 5G, Apple 14 Bionic chip and improved cameras!
Around the same time last year, Apple unveiled Apple iPhone 11 series worldwide. In an online event, the American tech giant is finally introducing the specs and features of its two biggest models yet: the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max!
New chipset, magnetic charging, and a lot more
The two devices have the same form as their predecessors. Both of them have IP68 water and dust resistance, and a stainless steel chassis. These phones use Corning’s Ceramic Shield material with up to 4x better drop resistance than its previous glass. They also come in these three classy looking colors: Gold, Gray, Silver, and Pacific Blue.
For the screen, the iPhone 12 Pro Max sports a 6.1-inch big XDR OLED display with a 2532 x 1170 resolution. Meanwhile, the Pro Max arrive with a 6.7-inch large screen and a 2778 x 1284 resolution. Both have 1200 peak brightness.
Inside, the latest iPhones are powered by the 5nm A14 Bionic chips. These two have a powerful 5G modem as well. As for the cameras, iPhone 12 Pro has these lenses: 12MP main, 12MP ultra-wide, and 12MP telephoto lens with OIS.
On the other hand, its Pro Max variant features a larger 1.7µm 12MP f/1.6 camera that is 47 percent bigger than the main cam of iPhone 12 Pro. In addition to that, it has a sensor-shift image stabilization instead of the traditional moving optic lens. Apple emphasized that it uses a better zoom camera with up to 2.5x zoom and OIS.
Moreover, this phone is equipped with the LiDAR Scanner for immersive augmented reality (AR) functions. It also can allegedly improve low light focusing, shooting speed, and portrait effect.
Both phones also have the MagSafe with up to 15W snap-on wireless charging. The in-box charger is no longer included. The iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max will be available in bigger 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage options.
