4th VP Choice Awards: ‘An Inconvenient Love,’ DonBelle wins big in movie category
The 2022 romantic-drama film An Inconvenient Love starring Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano or DonBelle, is one of the big winners of the 4th VP Choice Awards.
VP Choice Awards acknowledges the reigning finest from the travel, lifestyle, entertainment, technology, and business industries. The 2022 installment welcomes the theme Supernova: Our Brilliant Burst of Light. It signifies embracing our burgeoning blast after an era of compromise. It also signals the return of the much-anticipated red carpet and awards night.
Meanwhile, nominees for the 4th VP Choice Awards are examined based on these criteria: fifty percent comes from online voting, thirty percent from the editorial team’s decision, and twenty percent from the expert panel.
Furthermore, the board of judges comprised showbiz-lifestyle YouTuber Albert Bryan Abelido, orthodontics expert Dr. John Alex Glenn Crespo, and seasoned blogger Justine Montas. Likewise, actress-entrepreneur Kyra Custodio, celebrity hairstylist Mark Rosales, market researcher Martin Penaflor, and gadget coach Peter Jan Icago joined the panel.
Thus, the combined public decision and judges’ deliberation determined the conquerors of almost 100 accolades for the 4th VP Choice Awards.

Released in November last year, An Inconvenient Love revolves around Ayef (Mariano), an aspiring animator who is busy surviving life. She crosses paths with Manny (Pangilinan) and agrees to commit to a love contract. However, their convenient relationship will soon become complicated as their agreement comes to an end.
At the VP Choice Awards 2022, An Inconvenient Love bagged multiple recognitions, starting from the coveted Movie of The Year. In addition, film director Petersen Vargas, who helmed the project, was named the Director of the Year.
Of course, the phenomenal pairing of DonBelle rose in the same category by claiming their respective wins. Pangilinan clinched the Movie Actor of the Year, while Mariano took home the Movie Actress of the Year.
As for JC Alcantara, he secured the award for the Supporting Movie Actor of the Year. He played a challenging role in An Inconvenient Love as Pangilinan‘s brother with autism disorder.
