3 Features from the iPhone 16 That Tickles our Brain
It’s officially iPhone season and we’re just as excited as you!
While similar to the previous iPhone 15 models last year, Apple has integrated minimal yet substantial innovations into this year’s flagship lineup.
While we patiently wait for its official release here in the Philippines, we have curated three of iPhone 16’s features that grabbed our attention.
Camera Control
Of course, the feature that launched a thousand headlines: Camera Control. Unlike last year’s Action button, this Camera Control button only responds to camera-related functions.
Covered in sapphire, it acts like a pressure-sensitive tiny trackpad with vibration motors that respond to gestures.
Aside from a fully functioning button for taking photos, you can also double-tap to open a menu that lets you configure different camera options. From exposure, depth of field, styles, and more, the Camera Control does it all in one button.
Audio Mixing
Are you tired of recording videos with too much background noise? This new Audio Mixing feature in the iPhone 16 lineup solves that issue.
This feature allows you full control over which sound input you want to prioritize. In total, there are four options you can choose from: Standard, In-Frame, Studio, and Cinematic.
This way, you can record a conversation amidst background noise and simply select the In-Frame option to highlight what you were recording. Crazy stuff!
A18 Chip
The base models come in the newest A18 chip while the Pro models get the juiced-up A18 Pro chip. Compared to previous models, Apple claims that the A18 chips are 30% faster than the previous A16 chips found in the iPhone 15 lineup.
Aside from an overall improvement in quality of life and performance, this chip makes way for a better gaming and camera experience.
Unlike last year’s lineup, all phones this year can run console-level games. While it won’t be as high definition as when you’re playing it in its proper console, the scope it delivers is impressive.
Moreover, you can now take photos with minimal to no shutter lag as well as take 4K 120fps videos with no issues thanks to this new chip. With such an emphasis on the new Camera Control, we expected nothing less from the cameras of the iPhone 16 lineup.
Its Glowtime with the iPhone 16
These were just three of the many endearing features from the iPhone 16 lineup. While we wait for its official release in the future, you might want to learn more about these devices too. Just simply head over to Apple’s official website to know more about what their latest flagship offering could offer.
So, are you planning on getting any of the iPhone 16 models?
