UNDASKO combines Undas and Pasko, bringing together two Filipino traditions centered on family. Now on its fourth year, Forest Lake Development Inc.’s nationwide Christmas tree lighting continues to bring the spirit of Christmas to its memorial parks, giving families an opportunity to celebrate the season while remembering their departed loved ones.
Celebrating Ate Gay’s Life and Legacy
This year’s celebration began with “Habang Naririto Ka,” a Celebration of Life honoring comedian and performer Ate Gay. The program recognized his career, relationships, resilience, and the joy he has brought to audiences, as well as his journey through serious illness and continuing treatment.

The event also welcomed Ate Gay’s friends, who shared heartfelt messages in his honor. Video messages from his friends and family were also shown on screen, adding a personal touch to the celebration and highlighting the meaningful relationships he has built throughout his life.
Through Ate Gay’s story, UNDASKO 2026 reminds families to express their love and gratitude while their loved ones are still here to receive them. The celebration also encourages families to create meaningful memories together and preserve traditions that keep departed loved ones part of their lives.
“Through ‘Habang Naririto Ka’ and UNDASKO, we encourage families to celebrate the people they love today and keep departed loved ones part of their traditions. Ate Gay’s journey reminds us that life is unpredictable. Preparing ahead is also an act of care, allowing us to make choices for ourselves and lessen the burden on our families,” – Alfred Xerez-Burgos, President and CEO
Remembering with Love, Preparing with Care
Beyond remembrance, the initiative reflects Forest Lake’s vision of memorial parks as places where families can gather, celebrate life, and find warmth and togetherness during Undas. It also highlights the importance of preparing for the future, allowing individuals to make thoughtful decisions ahead of time and help ease potential burdens on their families.
“UNDASKO reflects what we want our parks to be—places where families can gather, remember, and celebrate meaningful moments together. It is about celebrating life, honoring the memories of those we have lost, and creating an experience where remembrance can also be filled with warmth, love, and togetherness,” – Gambi Dizon, chief operating officer of Forest Lake Development, Inc.

The celebration became even more vibrant with Forest Lake’s fourth nationwide Christmas tree lighting, followed by a concert featuring Ate Gay, P-pop boy group AZTER, and other guest performers, bringing families together for an evening of music, festive lights, and meaningful moments.
