After releasing Fleets, Twitter rolls out another update called Spaces
In a way, it is like a mini-podcast within the platform that lets the public interact as a lister or speaker inside the Spaces a user chooses to join in. However, creating a “Spaces” audio room is currently available only in a small group of people using an iOS device. Meanwhile, it is expected for everyone to create their own spaces within the month as per a spokesperson from Twitter.
Additionally, available “Spaces” audio room can be found at the top of a user’s timeline, where “Fleets” are located.
During the long weekend, and observance of the Holy week, Spaces has become a go-to hang out of Twitter users in the Philippines. Several spaces are created to give entertainment, fun, musical night, online talk show, and space where everyone can share their stories and has become a platform to provide information and educate one another with certain causes like current events and the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Spaces have also become a new channel to meet new friends, and express oneself to a network of friends with who you can only interact through replying or liking a tweet through an interactive audio conversation.
To date, the said feature is now available publicly for both iOS and Android phone users of the Twitter app.
