The controversy around Ezra Miller

As for the controversial side of things, The Flash has faced a troubled runway over the past year with Miller’s numerous legal troubles. In March 2022, Ezra was arrested twice in Hawaii within one month, first for disorderly conduct and harassment and then for second-degree assault.

They pled no contest to the assault charge and the harassment charge was later dismissed. In January, Ezra took a plea deal in a Vermont case, pleading guilty to a charge of unlawful trespassing and having two other criminal counts against them dropped. Ezra has also been accused of choking one woman in an Icelandic bar and harassing another woman in her home in Berlin.

The backlash for this movie is yet to be seen. But we will surely take Warner Bros. accountable for being silent on the matter if they don’t release a statement anytime soon.

Warner Bros. Discovery already has a script for a potential sequel to The Flash, written by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, the man behind the two Aquaman movies starring Jason Momoa. Nevertheless, James Gunn and Peter Safran did not discuss the Flash sequel during their DC Universe presentation.

Well, all of this should happen if the movie does indeed do good and the allegations against Ezra come to light. Otherwise, they have to halt all future projects or do a brave move to recast the role.
