Former ABS-CBN actress Myrtle Sarrosa is now a Kapuso. She signed an exclusive contract with GMA Artist Center today, February 21.

In a report of GMA Network, the actress and cosplayer said she couldn’t believe that she’ll now work with GMA Network. “Kasi bata pa lang ako, nanonood na talaga ako ng iba’t-ibang fantaserye sa GMA and ngayon na first time ko nakapasok dito sa GMA building, surreal pa siya sa ‘kin. Pero I’m so excited sa mga mangyayari dito,” she said.

Present during the signing event were Senior Assistant Vice President for Alternative Productions Gigi Santiago-Lara and GMA Artist Center Senior Talent Manager Daryl Zamora.

In fact, she auditioned for a role in GMA Artist Center last November and she received her acceptance call. “Binigyan nila kaagad ako ng opportunity to showcase my talent. I really feel the warm welcome dito,” she recalled at the contract signing.

Aside from being a cosplayer-actress, Myrtle also graduated in the University of the Philippines Diliman as a cum laude. Santiago-Lara said they are glad the Myrtle chose GMA to work with. “We’re also very excited because we will see her soon back on television.”

Meanwhile, she started her showbiz career in 2o12 after winning the reality show of ABS-CBN Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition 4. Among her batchmates were Kit Thompson, Karen Reyes, Yves Flores, and twins Joj and Jai Agpangan.

She appeared in prime-time series Kahit Puso’y Masugatan in 2012 with Kit as her leading man. Myrtle also became part of ABS-CBN shows such as Todamax (2012), Moon of Desire (2014), Forevermore (2015), Luv U (2015), FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano (2015), The Good Son (2017), and Araw Gabi (2018).

In fact, she still appeared in a February 16 episode of ABS-CBN’s weekly gag show, Banana Sundae, five days before she transferred to GMA Network.
