More Than Just a Laser: My Experience with LaseMD Ultra, Biosomes, and the Glow That Followed
Writing about aesthetic treatments often means learning the science behind them. Experiencing one firsthand, however, is an entirely different story. This month, I accepted an invitation from SpectruMed to try a treatment protocol that combined skin renewal with post-treatment recovery, offering a perspective I couldn’t have gained from research alone.
The treatment began with LaseMD Ultra by Cynosure Lutronic, a non-ablative fractional laser that creates thousands of microscopic channels in the skin. While the word “laser” can sound intimidating, the procedure itself was surprisingly quick. With my relatively high pain tolerance, I comfortably went through the session even without topical anesthesia. There was a warm, prickling sensation, but nothing that felt overwhelming.

What happened next was just as interesting.
Because the laser creates temporary microchannels in the skin, it opens a window for active ingredients to penetrate more effectively. Immediately after the treatment, AnteAGE MD Biosomes were applied to my face. Rich in regenerative bio-signals, growth factors, cytokines, peptides, and antioxidants, the Biosomes served as the treatment’s post-care step, helping nourish the skin while supporting its natural healing process.

To complete the session, I was placed under Dermalux Flex MD, an award-winning LED phototherapy system. The experience was incredibly relaxing, and more importantly, it helped calm my skin almost immediately. By the end of the treatment, the redness had noticeably subsided, making the entire recovery feel much smoother than I expected.
The days that followed were when I truly appreciated the process. My skin gradually developed a fine, sandpaper-like texture, almost as if it was going through a very gentle micro-peel. Rather than noticeable peeling, it felt like my old skin was quietly making way for a healthier layer underneath. As the texture faded over the next few days, what remained was smoother, brighter, and noticeably more radiant skin. It had that refreshed, rejuvenated look that people often describe as a “new skin” glow.
Firsthand Experience
Experiencing the treatment firsthand also gave me a better appreciation for how today’s aesthetic procedures have evolved. It’s no longer just about what happens during the treatment itself, but how different technologies work together to deliver better outcomes. In this case, LaseMD Ultra prepared the skin, AnteAGE MD Biosomes supported recovery and nourishment, and Dermalux Flex MD helped soothe post-treatment redness, creating a comprehensive approach to skin rejuvenation.
These treatments are available at select aesthetic clinics equipped with both LaseMD Ultra by Cynosure Lutronic and AnteAGE MD Biosomes. Consulting with a board-certified dermatologist will help determine whether this combination is suitable for your skin concerns and goals.
