Instagrammable spots to visit in Manila during Christmas Season

When you think about Christmas, first thing that comes to mind are the Christmas tree, lights, and lanterns. We grew up visualizing Christmas as a picturesque holiday that is filled with reunion parties and good food for friends and families to enjoy. The season of giving is anticipated not only for the aguinaldo that we will receive from our ninongs and ninangs but also for the various attractions with a grand display of shimmering decorations, perfect for the gram.

Now that we only have less than two weeks before Christmas day, take time to visit these Instagram-worthy spots around the metro to fully feel the spirit of holidays.

Filinvest City’s Christmas Village

Filinvest Mall will be holding a Light Show daily, Saturday live performances and photo-op with Santa Claus every Sunday until December 31 at the City’s newest attraction: Water Garden.

Ortigas East Christmas Street Musical Light Tunnel

Every night, from 6PM to 10PM, well-loved Christmas songs are featured along with the lights display at the annual Christmas Street Musical Tunnel in Ortigas Estate, Pasig. The attraction will last until January 5, 2020.

Ayala Triangle Gardens’ Gallery of Lights

For their 11th year, Ayala Triangle showcases a Gallery of Lights every night at 6PM to 10PM until January 12. It features lights and sounds show of 3 medleys with different themes – Techno, Big Band and Filipino – and the new addition City of Lights, a 3D video mapping to show images inspired by churches’ ceilings on the doom of Tower One and Exchange Plaza.

Araneta City’s Christmas Animated Display

This year’s Christmas Animated Display at Araneta City centers around the stories of 5 Christmas’ most important symbolisms – The Little Drummer Boy, Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer, Santa Claus and the Navity – as well as the story of Jesus Christ’s birth. The animated display of familiar characters move along with the bright lights and the tune of holiday songs. You can catch the show until January 5, 2020 at the Times Square Food Park.

Greenhills Christmas Spectacle

Greenhills Shopping Center’s theme for this year is all about Christmas Wonderland. They launched an exciting and unique laser light show called Greenhills Laser Light Symphony, which is moving in the tune of Christmas songs tunes, as a part of it. The show runs until January 5, every 30 minutes, from 6PM to 10 PM.

Mall of Asia Grand Festival of Lights Parade

SM Mall of Asia has Grand Festival of Lights Parade in North and South Arcades every Saturday at 5:30PM. Indoor music, lights show, and drone show at the SM By the Bay and Christmas Forest of Lights Show at the Central Park all until Christmas day.

Tiendesitas’ Gift of Wonders

Tiendesitas’ holiday installation Gift of Wonders features two installations. House of Stars consists of thousand changing color light bulbs, reminding people that this season is about love. Pet Unleashed highlights cute plush toys of our furry friends with a kaleidoscope-like background. It is on display until January 5, 2020.
