Have You Ever Tried Being a Tourist in Manila?

You’ve probably passed through Manila countless times. But have you ever actually stopped to experience it?
We book international trips for food crawls, heritage walks, staycations, nightlife, museums, and weekend adventures. Yet some of the country’s richest history, most iconic food spots, coolest cultural spaces, and most interesting neighborhoods are sitting right in the middle of the capital.
This September, the City Government of Manila, through the Department of Tourism, Culture and Arts of Manila (DTCAM), is giving everyone a reason to look at the city differently.

From September 25 to 27, 2026, the historic Foro de Intramuros will transform into a three-day tourism playground for the My Manila Tourism Expo 2026—bringing together food, culture, heritage, entertainment, travel experiences, and exclusive deals all under one roof.
And one of the biggest moments of the weekend? The official launch of Manila’s new tourism campaign: MANILA, MY MANILA.
Ask ten people what Manila means to them and you could get ten completely different answers.
That’s the idea behind Manila, My Manila: there isn’t just one way to experience the city.
Your Manila is personal.
And the upcoming Expo is an invitation to start finding yours. Three days to eat, explore, discover—and score deals.
Visitors can expect a Discover Manila Zone, Heritage & Culture Exhibits, a Food & Gastronomy Pavilion, live cultural performances, immersive experiences, and a Travel Marketplace featuring o?ers and deals worth checking out.

So yes, you can come for the food and the experiences—but don’t leave without checking the deals.
Sometimes familiarity makes us stop looking. We pass historic buildings without wondering about their stories. We drive through neighborhoods without exploring them. And we recommend Manila attractions to visiting friends and relatives—but rarely experience them ourselves.
