2020 isn’t over! YouTube and most of Google services are down
This was a developing story.
It definitely is still 2020. Today (the 14th of December 2020) YouTube — the major video-sharing service by Google — is down.
However, it appears that even Google itself was experiencing a rare setback. In a crazy time when you can’t even Google what’s happening , our team took to Twitter to verify our growing suspicion. Lo and behold, the Google outage is indeed the hot topic.
Apparently, people across the globe are reporting that other apps under Google’s Workspaces are down. Apps such as Gmail, Drive, Docs, Hangouts, Meet, Play, Maps, and several other shared services are glitching out too.
Moreover, Dowtime site detectors indicate a sudden spike for several of these services for many countries, one of these countries is the Philippines.
There aren’t any statements yet — official or otherwise — from the Google powers that be. We also haven’t gotten any hints as to when the outage would last. All we can do for now is…wait. *gasps*
