Cha Eun-woo reportedly in talks to star in drama of popular webtoon, ‘True Beauty’
Gangnam Beauty actor Cha Eun-woo is reportedly is in talks to star in a new drama. In an article published on Soompi, South Korean news outlet Ilgan Sports said that Eun-woo has been tapped the play the male lead character in the drama based on the popular webtoon ‘True Beauty’.
True Beauty is a Korean webtoon created by Yaongyi, which began in April 2018. It follows Jugyeong Lim, a girl who uses her talent for makeup to improve her looks. In high school, she befriends Suho Lee and Seojun Han, two boys with a past together.
His agency, Fantagio Entertainment, who hasn’t accepted the offer yet, confirmed that Eun-woo has indeed received an offer to play the role of Lee Su-ho — a perfect young man who is the top student at his school.
“Cha Eun Woo has received an offer to star in True Beauty. He is currently reviewing the offer.”
As of writing, the release date has yet to be announced. But reports said that the show is expected to air in the first half of the year. In fact, Cha Eun-woo, who is also a member of the K-Pop group ASTRO, came to Manila last October 2019 for his first-ever fan meeting dubbed [JUST ONE 10 MINUTE].
