Beko unveils technology HarvestFresh to help keep vitamins in produce
Eating healthy and wholesome foods is no longer a trend. Now, it has become a way of life. People also believe that they can get their vitamins from natural foods. However, fruits and vegetables start to lose their vitamin content. From the moment farmers harvest them up to the time that we consume them. Thankfully, new technology exists that could help fruits and vegetables stored in the refrigerator. It helps them stay as nutritious as the day we bought them. Developed for Beko fridges, they dubbed the innovative technology as HarvestFresh.

These vitamins boost the immune system. Aside from that, it also promotes a healthier heart and supports healthy cognitive brain function. It also provides natural antioxidants to protect the body from disease. Taking its inspiration from nature itself, light powers the refrigerator up. It uses three colors – green, blue, and red. This way, it could mimic the 24-hour sun cycle and natural sunlight.

HarvestFresh will be available in select Beko Refrigerator models. Europe’s No. 1 Appliance Brand provides technology solutions that help empower consumers to live healthier. Their whitegoods include refrigerators, washing machines, ovens, and vacuum cleaners.
Total Quality Assurance provider Intertek Laboratories has independently verified that Beko HarvestFresh preserves vitamins A and C. They also have two key contributors to a healthy lifestyle, for up to five more days. During the first four hours of the HarvestFresh cycle, the crisper lights will shine blue. This mimics dawn and the first light of day. Then, two hours of green light follow it as it replicates midday. Meanwhile, six hours of red light imitating the more muted tones of dusk. The drawers will also turn dark for 12 hours to represent nighttime.
