Western Union, JuanPay Expand Access to International Remittances

Western Union and JuanPay have announced a new partnership that will bring international money transfer services closer to Filipino communities through participating JuanPay locations across the Philippines.

Western Union and JuanPay have announced a new partnership that will bring international money transfer services closer to Filipino communities through participating JuanPay locations across the Philippines.

The partnership is set to make cross-border money movement services progressively available across approximately 2,000 JuanPay locations, with an initial rollout covering around 1,400 priority outlets. Through participating locations, customers will be able to send and receive money internationally alongside the everyday financial services already offered by JuanPay.

Bringing Remittance Services Closer to Communities

The collaboration combines Western Union’s global financial network, which spans more than 200 countries and territories, with JuanPay’s growing nationwide footprint of owned and franchise-operated outlets.

For communities with strong connections to Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), the partnership provides another accessible option for international remittances through established local businesses. Customers who already visit JuanPay locations for services such as bills and loan payments, government transactions, pharmacy services, and other consumer needs can now access international money transfer services in the same familiar environment.

JuanPay, a subsidiary of ACM Group of Companies, has established a presence in provincial markets through a network supported by local Filipino entrepreneurs. The partnership expands JuanPay’s range of financial services while giving Western Union an additional retail channel to complement its existing physical and digital presence in the country.

“Our vision for JuanPay has always been to bring essential financial services closer to Filipino communities,” said Rico Fernando M. Chico, Chairman of ACM Group of Companies. “Our collaboration with Western Union brings together global connectivity and JuanPay’s community-based approach to access.”

Making International Money Movement More Accessible

The partnership also reflects the growing need for financial services that offer both convenience and accessibility, particularly for customers who prefer face-to-face assistance or have varying levels of digital connectivity.

“With customers in the Philippines wanting more flexibility and convenience, multi-service locations that serve as one-stop shops for their financial services needs have a vital role to play,” said Vince Tallent, Senior Vice President and Head of APAC for Western Union.

Atty. Rafael Angelo M. Padilla, President of ACM Business Solutions Inc., described the collaboration as an important milestone in JuanPay’s mission to broaden financial access through trusted, technology-enabled solutions.

For Western Union, the partnership further strengthens its presence in the Philippines following the launch of its upgraded mobile app in October 2025, which introduced dual send-and-request capabilities.

As the rollout progresses, the collaboration between Western Union and JuanPay aims to make international remittances more accessible and integrated into the everyday financial routines of Filipinos—helping families and communities stay connected across borders.
