Xiaomi Fans Power Massive First-Day Sales Surge for Xiaomi 17T Series
Xiaomi proves its powerhouse status in the Philippines with impressive sales growth over three years
Global technology leader Xiaomi celebrates a historic milestone in the Philippines, as the newly launched Xiaomi 17T Series co-engineered by Leica achieved an impressive 134% Year-over-Year (YoY) growth in its First-Day Sale, a dramatic increase over three generations of Xiaomi’s T Series.
As Xiaomi officially rolled out the Xiaomi 17T Series, consumers across the Philippines flocked to Xiaomi stores nationwide to pick up their pre-orders. The launch was further amplified by dedicated fan events at SM Megamall, SM North EDSA, and SM Mall of Asia, where celebrities joined the celebration and welcomed some of the first owners of the new device.

Fans got to hang out with superstar ambassadors such as Gabbi Garcia, Mika Salamanca, Bianca de Vera, and Dustin Yu, all of whom were excited to try out the Xiaomi 17T and its upgraded mobile photography setup and telephoto lens.

This momentum of the T Series’ growth began in 2024 with the Xiaomi 14T Series, which saw a 78% YoY growth on its first-day sale. The Xiaomi 15T Series built on that success with 135%, which set the stage for this year’s similar triple-digit growth.

This consecutive growth streak proves Xiaomi’s ability to deliver premium, flagship-level innovation—specifically in mobile photography, processing power, and display tech—at competitive prices that resonate with a wide range of Filipino buyers.
Massive growth through an innovative collaboration with Leica
The 17T Series’ astounding success in the country can be attributed to its landmark upgrades to its popular mobile photography setup, which continues to be co-engineered by legendary camera manufacturer Leica.
The 17T Pro boasts the series-first periscope telephoto lens setup, which is a rare inclusion in midrange devices. The Leica-crafted telephoto lens can do up to 5x Optical Zoom, 10x Optical-grade Lossless Zoom, and reinforces that with AI Zoom that goes up to 120x.
This is on top of the Leica Summilux optical lens on both the 17T Pro and 17T, which also gives crisp and crystal-clear Live Moments in the camera app.
The Xiaomi 17T Series, also powered by high-performing MediaTek Dimensity processors, with the 9500 and 8500 on the 17T Pro and 17T respectively enabling smooth and seamless photography, work, and play for all users.
