Tipid Mommy Tales: Gracie Maulion’s Journey on Content Creation

When we think Spiderman is the most remarkable hero who can multitask, we overlook his most worthy opponent — mothers.

Gracie Maulion, mother of two, started blogging in 2013, but it was 2018 when she discovered her moniker, “Tipid Mommy.” Little did she know that her content would become an inspiration both at home and in life.
Maulion’s path wasn’t as easy as how Spiderman splashed cobwebs from his wrist. Forged through financial hardship, facing business closures and the weight of debt. From these, she crafted content that resonates with her followers, bridging the gap between financial struggles and recovery.
“What we’ve learned during our season of lack is that in your ’empty season’ and ‘nothing’ stage, you will clearly see what truly matters,” she says.
Through “Tipid Mommy,” Maulion shares wealthy tips in money-saving, household, parenting, and even recommending essential products for her parent audiences.
From her experience, Maulion simplifies complex financial jargon, leading the way for her platform.

Her greatest achievement in content creation so far is to inspire other mothers who share the same struggles as her.
“I am grateful to hear stories from readers and community members who are able to pay off their debts, achieve their goals, and who got inspired through a post from our group or page. Those messages really inspired me to keep on writing, creating contents, encouraging moms and wives because sometimes a simple post can change a family’s situation,” she shares.
Her growing community of financially literate moms is a testament to her success in the field. Recognizing the power of media is one of the assets she aquire. Knowing deeply that her content could drive change.
“What we share online can be a blessing or destruction to someone else. By sharing our family’s [struggles], our “yehey” moments, how we find solutions, and journey to recovery will help mothers to take control of their finances,” Maulion says.
