‘DON’T JUDGE:’ Gigi De Lana responds to bashing after getting tattoos
Singer and actress Gigi De Lana has responded to the criticism she has received after recently sharing she got new tattoos.
Last April 7, Gigi updated her followers with snaps showing herself getting inked in a few parts of her body. The post consequently earned mixed reactions from the public, where others expressed their approval. However, a prominent number of followers condemned her action, calling out its supposed inappropriateness.
Days after the controversy, Gigi took to her Facebook page to answer the ill responses.

Gigi addressed the issue on Sunday in a lengthy message on her account. Her statement started:
“Just because I got a tattoo, again, many people have judged my skin, passion, and heart. Some of them have good comments. But most of them are [saying I’m] dirty now.”
Gigi then asked the people to rethink their perceptions. The singer further stressed the importance of not judging people, especially when unaware of their narrative.
“Please, don’t judge. Lalo na, you will never know the real whole story behind it. I’m still me, but not the facade girl before.”
Moreover, Gigi added that having tattoos do not mean becoming a “bad person.” She said she is just different now, hailing her improvement as a stronger, bolder, and more confident individual. She also emphasized how she tries to grow as much as she can every day.
At the end of her post, Gigi encouraged her followers to embrace positivity. “Let’s love one another. Stop controlling things that you cannot control,” she concluded.
