And, it’s official! Miss Grand International will finally have its local stand-alone pageant with the birth of Miss Grand Philippines. In a social media post, the announcement was made by its local organizer, ALV Pageant Circle. Owned and managed by Arnold Vegafria, this transition formally reaffirms the rumors circulating among pageant fans. He is also the current president of the Miss World Philippines Organization.

In the last 5 years, Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. (BPCI) has been the one responsible for selecting our representative. Within those years, the country was able to produce two 1st runners-up (2016, 2020), one 2nd second runner-up (2017), two 3rd runners-up (2013, 2015), and one 5th runner-up (2022).
Further details about its 2023 pageant haven’t been revealed yet, however, Miss Grand Philippines is already cooking something up. According to the post, the pageant will have its ‘grand’ week-long salvo. With activities lined up, the events will be graced by the current Miss Grand International Queens including our very own Roberta Tamondong. Currently in Thailand for her duties as 5th runner-up, Roberta is the last Miss Grand Philippines under Binibining Pilipinas.
