An 80-year-old widow allegedly raped by a farmer in Palawan

Today, July 7, the Police Regional Office – MIMAROPA reported an 80-year-old widow was allegedly raped in Aborlan, Palawan.

According to the police, the victim, who is from Tagbanua tribe, was allegedly raped by a 42-year-old farmer. The victim was assisted by her daughter in reporting the incident at the Municipal Police Station last July 3.

Initial information disclosed by the police stated that the victim was on her way to get nipa palm when the suspect suddenly appeared, forcibly took her to a grassy area and supposedly raped her.

The suspect was already arrested and is now detained at the Aborlan MPS. Authorities are already preparing the cases against him.

Both the victim and the suspect were not named by the police.
