But what if I tell you that we no longer have to trouble ourselves going miles away? Emgrand Spa got us, and it’s our newest wellness haven just within the city!

It was past five on a Sunday afternoon when I got into the lobby of the six-storey Emgrand Spa with some friends, all thrilled to loosen up from the pressure of grinding all week long. A staff member attended to us, provided us with numbered rubber wristbands, and led us to their locker area next to the shower rooms, where we freshened up before changing into comfortable clothes and exploring the in-city wellness haven.

After a good and refreshing bath, we checked their pigeon-house-inspired resting areas that exude coziness. Imagine lying down in all solace while you binge your favorite series or run a full movie marathon of the films you missed during the weekdays—all of these inside the comfort of your personal space in Emgrand Spa. A few steps outside the resting area is a cute lounge where you can enjoy chatting with your friends or even making new ones.

And speaking of a relaxing experience, if you’re the type to get thrilled by what you often see in many K-dramas, this wellness haven has a spacious dry sauna for you, enough to enjoy its warmth with some friends! It was definitely relaxing and somewhat healing as we lay next to each other inside the sauna with our heads leaning on either a wooden or crystal-like headrest, plus the sound of water. Its gentle warmth and serene energy just slowly eased the week-long pressure in different spots of our body, especially the back.

After feeling our posteriors slowly relaxing, there wasn’t any better way to deal with it than indulging ourselves in the diverse relaxing massage services that Emgrand Spa offers. And so we snuggled in their lounge, where massage therapists attended to us. I personally picked a back massage, which I enjoyed as the therapist perfectly hit all the pressure spots in my back for thirty minutes, so good that I even fell into a quick nap during the session.

Relaxed and energized, a good dinner at around seven in the evening was the perfect thing to do. Thankfully, Emgrand Spa’s offer comes with a buffet of mouthwatering dishes all at your choice! They got it all—appetizers, dishes that we usually crave, and even some that others may find exotic and luscious at the same time, and some flavorful desserts. We had a table of salmon dipped into their savory sauce, fresh steamed Lapu-lapu, sushi, tasty and spicy squid and bullfrog, and some fruits and ice cream for dessert. While we had ourselves full and beyond satisfied, there were still so many dishes that I would definitely come back for!
