Despite high ratings, The Killer Bride set to end on January 2020

Top-rating TV series The Killer Bride recently held its Thanksgiving Party for its successful run since its pilot episode. In an interview with PUSH.com, directors Dado Lumibao and Froy Leonardo, together with writer Benson Logronio announced that the top-rating thriller-drama show will end its run on the first month of 2020.

“Actually nung kino-conceptualize pa lang namin ito, alam namin na hanggang dito lang siya. So kahit sabihin ng management na i-extend, sa storytelling talaga, sa narrative, hanggang dito lang, so we stick to that. So wala pong extension,” Direk Dado explained.

The show starring Maja Salvador, Janella Salvador, and Joshua Garcia is now on its second season.

The whole production team feels really grateful for all the supporters who has been there since the beginning.

“Ang daming [naming nababasang] opinyon, ang daming gustong papuntahan ng audience sa kwento, pero it’s a good problem, ibig sabihin sinusundan nila, ibig-sabihin they work on their own theories.

“But kami, we stay true to our story. Mas focus kami sa story-telling more than really teasing the fans. Kasi minsan pag nagsusulat ka tas ipapakita mo ito kahit hindi naman nagma-match sa kuwento. Pero, mas nangingibabaw sa amin yung story, at the same time kung ano ang maiiwan natin sa audience natin,”

Good run, The Killer Bride!
