Get to know and subscribe to ‘The Stairwell Siren’ – Lauren Paley

Have you ever imagined what an actual siren sounds like? The kind of siren that lures sailors out of their ships and drowns them in the seas? Well, imagine no further… Lauren Paley is an actual siren in our midst that probably won’t entice you into the ocean – because, you know, coronavirus still exists. She’s also known as ‘The Stairwell Siren.’

Lauren Paley – The Stairwell Siren

Lauren shares clips of her singing on the popular video-sharing app, Tiktok. She currently has two million followers, thanks to her impromptu rendition of the Halo theme. She started singing in her garage stairwell due to the wonderful echos it emits. Aside from singing her own renditions, she sometimes puts a fictional character into another movie.

One example of this is when she uploaded the video ‘If Elsa went to Hogwarts.’ Aside from the total serenity of this video, it also shows how Paley can completely mesh two words into one. Listen to it and let yourself imagine Else as a student in Hogwarts and going to school with the Golden Trio – Harry, Ron, and Hermione. She also did the same thing putting The Little Mermaid’s Ariel in Titanic.

Lauren Paley’s rendition of Lily’s Theme – a personal favorite

I didn’t like Severus Snape’s character as a whole. Just because he was bullied when he was young, it doesn’t give him the excuse to discriminate young kids such as Neville Longbottom and Hermione Granger because of things they couldn’t control. Putting that aside, whenever I hear Pley’s rendition of this song, I immediately feel myself getting to the actual scene in the movie. Harry Potter is finally finding out that he is, in fact, a Horcrux and that he needs to die at the hands of Lord Voldermort himself.

Does she get caught, though? Of course, she does.

In another video, Paley sang her rendition of Assassin’s Creed Revelations in the same stairwell. She brought her ring light into the garage stairwell and sang in her usual spot. At the 1:27 mark, someone walked in while she sang. Although it seemed as if it wasn’t the first time that someone walked in as she said, “I scare people all the time!”

Watch more of The Stairwell Siren on her Tiktok and YouTube account. She also posts her singing videos on Instagram once in a while.
